September has been a positive and busy month across the business, with new customers, increased enquiries and some particularly interesting projects keeping the team on their toes.
New Customers and Growing Enquiries
It’s been great to see an uptick in enquiries during September, alongside the onboarding of three new customers.
Bringing new customers into the business is always encouraging and gives us the opportunity to build new relationships, demonstrate our capabilities and hopefully develop more long-term partnerships.
The increased level of enquiries has also brought a good variety of work through the door, with the Fabrication and Assembly area being particularly busy this month.
Prototypes Putting Our Skills to the Test
September has certainly been a month for prototypes, with the team working on several very different and interesting projects.
One prototype was particularly large, presenting a different challenge simply because of its scale. Another involved developing a completely new method of working, giving the team the opportunity to approach the job differently and put their problem-solving skills to good use.
We have also produced a really impressive vacuum-formed prototype, showcasing another side of our manufacturing capabilities.
Prototype work is always interesting because no two projects are quite the same. It gives us an opportunity to combine experience, creativity and practical manufacturing knowledge to find a solution that works.
ISO 14001: Another Positive Result
We also successfully completed our ISO 14001 audit, with just one corrective action relating to our internal audit process.
Rather than simply treating the corrective action as something that needs to be closed out, we see it as an opportunity to strengthen our internal auditing knowledge. Looking ahead to next year, we would like to put two members of staff through internal auditor training, helping us develop more knowledge and capability within the business.
Continuous improvement is a key part of maintaining our management systems, so developing more internal expertise will be a positive next step.
Looking Forward to a Full House!
Like many businesses, the summer months have seen various members of the team taking some well-earned annual leave.
After several months of juggling summer holidays and keeping everything moving, Production is looking forward to having the full team back next month!
With enquiries increasing, new customers coming on board and plenty of interesting work passing through the factory, having everyone back together should put us in a great position as we move into October.
